Pantron amplifiers operate with modulated infrared light which
provides high immunity to ambient light. The electronic circuit
is designed to detect only those signals with the correct
frequency and phase relation. This almost completely
excludes interference from other barriers. Versions with an
adjustable transmit frequency are available for applications
where several sensors of the same type will be operated in
close proximity.
The processor-controlled automatic amplifier (patented
Pantron invention) is the further development of the standard
amplifier. No adjustments are required. The switching point
adjusts automatically according to the predominate conditions
(dirt, dust, ambient light, etc.) so that it remains constant.
This insures optimum performance from the system at all
times.
