CareMat®

The CareMat® is a pressure-sensitive detector mat developed specifically for nursing and healthcare environments. Placed beside a patient's bed or in front of a room door, the CareMat connects to the nurse call system — wired or wirelessly — and triggers an alert signal the moment a patient steps on it. This provides important support for caregivers looking after people with dementia, fall risk, or a tendency to wander, while preserving the patient's freedom of movement and quality of life within reasonable limits. The signal cable and wireless transmitter battery are both replaceable.

Installation Notes

Simply place the mat beside the patient's bed or in front of the room door — no permanent fixings required for most installations.
Connect the wired version directly to the nurse call system using the supplied cable; replace the wireless transmitter battery as indicated.
Select the wireless transmitter type (Telealarm, Variomobil, Variorec, or Easywave) to match the facility's existing nurse call infrastructure.
