ISM-1500 series optosensors are cost-efficient devices for simple light barrier applications. In consequence of the standard size of 22,5 mm, the low profile and the plug-in connections these devices are easy to mount and space-saving.

The amplifiers are used for detecting objects in machines or production facilities. The whole system consists of one amplifier combined with infrared transmitter and receiver. It is characterised by its long detection range and extreme dirt resistance where traditional photo-electric light barriers reach their limits. Modulated light is the reason for additional safety regarding external light, interfering impulses and other light barriers.

Power settings can be changed by potentiometer and controlled by a green gain LED. The status of light pathway is reported via potential-free switching output to units downstream such as a SPS.
