Pressure-Sensitive Systems

Pressure-sensitive systems detect contact between a moving guard, door, or bumper and an obstruction, providing a safety signal for immediate machine or drive stop. The range includes safety edges, pressure-sensitive mats, and vehicle bumpers for industrial door, gate, and machine guarding applications. Bircher safety edges are available in many shapes and lengths and can be cut to size for custom door widths. Compatible control units process the edge signal for integration with safety relays, safety PLCs, and standard door operators.
