VA2PF

The VA2PF is a combined pre-separator and extraction unit designed for high-particulate welding and cutting applications. A cyclone or inertial pre-separator stage removes coarse particles before the main filter, significantly extending filter service life in environments with heavy fume and swarf loads. The unit is compressed-air assisted and produces 62 dBA at 1 m, making it suitable for open production floor use.

VA2PF

The VA2PF is a floor-standing unit (660 × 440 × 1,410 mm) combining a pre-separator column with an extraction and filter module. The pre-separator collects coarse material into a removable collection bin, and the main filter handles the finer fraction. Compressed air (3–4 bar) drives the pre-separation stage and may also assist filter cleaning.

Selection Notes

  • Select VA2PF when the process produces coarse particles or heavy spatter alongside fine fume.
  • Confirm compressed air supply (3–4 bar) is available at the installation point.
  • Use VA2PF upstream of a standard filter unit to protect the main filter in very high-particulate environments.
  • For lighter particulate applications, standard cleanable units (TKFVA, MKFVA) may suffice.

  • Plan a compressed-air connection (3–4 bar) to the unit before installation.
  • Allow access to the coarse-particle collection bin for periodic emptying.
