ISO12 cleaning air nozzle
PANTRONISO12Cleaning Air Nozzle

ISO12

The ISO12 cleaning air nozzle is used for the automatic cleaning of sensors in heavily dusty environments. It is especially well suited where deposits such as sawdust, Styrofoam, or granulated synthetic materials can collect on the sensing face. The nozzle screws onto Pantron transmitters, receivers, and compact opto sensors with an M12 thread and operates with periodic compressed-air blasts.

Key Features

  • Automatic cleaning of the sensors.
  • Built for heavily dusty environments.
  • Suited for statically charged material.
  • Removes deposits such as sawdust, Styrofoam, and granulated synthetic material.
  • Screws onto transmitters, receivers, and compact opto sensors with M12 thread.
  • Operates with periodic compressed-air blasts.

Best Fit Applications

  • Sawdust-heavy machinery and dusty bulk-material handling systems.
  • Styrofoam processing where statically charged pellets can cover the sensing face.
  • Granulated synthetic-material processes that create build-up on optical surfaces.
  • M12-based Pantron sensor installations where periodic cleaning improves uptime.

Pantron’s example use specifically highlights a light barrier in Styrofoam processing, where periodic compressed-air blasts blow away statically charged pellets from the sensor area.

Cleaning air nozzle For automatic sensor cleaning in heavily dusty environments; screws onto M12-threaded Pantron transmitters, receivers, and compact opto sensors ISO12

Integration Notes

  • Use a periodic compressed-air schedule rather than continuous flow for efficient cleaning.
  • Confirm the sensor body has an M12 thread before ordering.
  • Ideal where optical contamination would otherwise require frequent manual cleaning.
  • Pair with a clean compressed-air supply sized to the application’s duty cycle and environment.

ISO12 is best treated as a process-uplift accessory for contamination-prone sensing points, especially where uptime and reduced maintenance are priorities.

Related Workflow Use

  • Helps maintain reliable sensor performance in dusty or static-prone material handling.
  • Useful where pellets, granules, or dust repeatedly collect on the optical face.
  • Supports automated cleaning without having to relocate the sensor.
  • Fits naturally into Pantron installations using M12-threaded transmitters, receivers, or compact opto sensors.

Because the nozzle is compact and threaded, it is especially practical where installation space is limited but contamination is persistent.
