Protective Glass / Shutters

Pantron protective glass and light shutters are used to simplify mechanical installation and alignment of compatible sensors. The ISH1 and ISH2 brackets have M6 central fixing for P10 and TSP transmitters / receivers. The ISH10 version uses a Ø16 mm bore, and KB12 is used for sensor heads and compact opto sensors with M12 thread.

All apertures shown on the Pantron shutter page can be screwed onto sensors with M12 thread, and an O-ring seal is included.

Selection Notes

Use IR2 when the main need is sensor-face protection against abrasion or mechanical damage.
Use IR3 when the main need is detecting very small objects with an effective Ø1 mm beam.
Use IR3G when Ø1 mm beam reduction and protective glass shielding are both required.
Use IR4G when an 8 x 1 mm shutter profile with protective glass is better suited to the target geometry.

Integration Notes

Install matching shutter or glass accessories on both transmitter and receiver when beam shaping is required.
Confirm that the sensor uses an M12 thread before selecting these accessories.
Use protective glass versions where abrasive media or fine dust could damage or clog the optical face.
Verify alignment after installation because light shutters intentionally narrow the effective beam path.
