FSR-145V Fork

The FSR-145V is an adjustable visible-red fork light barrier for object, edge, and position detection. Its modular design allows the fork width to be adjusted from 5 mm to 145 mm, helping it cover applications that would otherwise require multiple sensors. The alignment is easy with visible red light. Manual and automatic operating modes, TEACH functions, and selectable light or dark switching are included. Two side-mounted buttons and four LEDs provide direct local setup, while automatic power adjustment with dirt compensation helps maintain performance.

Series Overview

The FSR fork series combines transmitter, receiver, and electronics in one housing, making installation straightforward and alignment stable in compact machines. The FSR-145V version extends that concept to a larger adjustable opening with visible red light, making it suitable for label detection, slot sensing, web handling, packaging, and other automation tasks where target sizes or part positions vary.

Because the fork width is continuously adjustable after installation, the same sensor can often be adapted to product changes without replacing the device. This helps simplify spares strategy and makes the sensor practical for machine builders that need flexibility without giving up repeatability or resolution. The visible beam can also make setup and verification more intuitive during commissioning.

Application Notes

Mounting

The device is intended for non-contact object detection in machines and production systems.
The adjustable reflector section lets the opening be set to the required target width after installation.
Mounting should prevent unintended readjustment during operation.

Electrical and Operating Notes

Use the 3-pin M8 connection with supply and output wiring matched to the selected transistor mode.
Clean optics and correct sensitivity adjustment are important for stable performance in contaminated environments.
